PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic composition that is based on lead zirconate titanate (PZT) and retains piezoelectric properties and also can lower the sintering temperature, and a piezoelectric element including the same.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a piezoelectric ceramic composition that is based on ceramic having a composition represented by formula (1) and includes an oxide solid solution or a carbonate solid solution as a sintering additive, where the formula (1) is: xPb(Ni1/3 Nb2/3) O3-(1-x) Pb(Zr1-yTiy) O3 (0.05≤x≤0.2, 0.4≤y≤0.7).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
