HEALING AGENT FOR SELF-HEALING CEMENTITIOUS MATERIAL
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a healing agent for a cementitious material and a method for producing the same, and a method for producing cementitious based constructions.SOLUTION: A particulate healing agent 40 comprises coated particles 40, where the coated particles 40 comprise a bacterial material 21 and additives 22, 23. The bacterial material 21 is selected from among a bacterium, a lyophilized bacterium and a bacterial spore. (Substantially leakage-proof) tablets containing the healing agent 40 neither interfere with the workability of a liquid mixture ("cementitious material") nor negatively affect properties of any of the mixture and a final material (hardened concrete), even when applied in large quantities. Upon crack formation in cementitious based constructions, the particles 40 also crack, and a healing agent 43 is released to heal the cracks.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
