EMBEDDED JOINT STRUCTURE FOR ROAD BRIDGE AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR THE EMBEDDED JOINT STRUCTURE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embedded joint structure suited for replacement of a load bearing-type expansion joint that is stopped performing intended functions due to rusting of a mobile bearing, etc.SOLUTION: An embedded joint structure for a road bridge includes: a pair of load bearing steel plates 10a, 10b installed parallel to each other as cantilevered beams on a surface of a bridge abutment and a bridge girder 1 or bridge girders with a joint S in between, the steel plates extending toward the joint; hole-in anchors 12a, 12b or stud bolts planted on both load bearing steel plates and integrated, for fitting and fixing the load bearing steel plates to the bridge abutment and the bridge girder 1 or the bridge girders; fixing nuts 13a, 13b fastened to screw head parts 14a, 14b, respectively, on the hole-in anchors or the stud bolts, for keeping the load bearing steel plates in a fall-off prevention state; and an asphalt pavement A covering over the embedded joint structure. The screw head parts and the fixing nuts are embedded entirely in a range of thickness of a base layer 16 of the asphalt pavement, and only a surface layer 17 of the asphalt pavement is connected to a surface layer of a ground cover part B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
