PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slat driving unit capable of simply adjusting maximum inclination angles of slats.SOLUTION: A slat driving unit 20 of a horizontal blind device comprises: a tilt drum 22; a tilt spring 23 tightened with respect to an outer peripheral surface of the tilt drum 22; and a support member 40 supporting the tilt drum 22 in a rotatable manner. The slat driving unit 20 is configured such that an end portion of the tilt spring 23 abuts on an abutting member 100 and a diameter of the tilt spring 23 is increased when the tilt spring 23 is rotated by a predetermined rotation angle.
