UPPER FRAME OF SLIDING DOOR, SLIDING DOOR STRUCTURE AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREOF
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel upper frame structure that does not damage decoration on an upper frame when installing a wall paper and allows easy removal and fitting when repairing or replacing the upper frame or a head jamb rail.SOLUTION: A sliding door structure includes an undecorated upper frame 33 on a door pocket side fitted on a top surface of an opening on the door pocket side of a sliding door, a decorated upper frame 32 on an opening side fitted on a top surface of an opening on a door end side, a head jamb rail 242 on the door pocket side fixed on an undersurface of the upper frame on the door pocket side, and a head jamb rail 241 on the opening side fixed on the undersurface of the upper frame on the opening side. When a linearly continuous upper frame 15 is formed by connecting the upper frame on the door pocket side and the upper frame on the opening side, a mullion storage recess 34 is formed between the upper frame on the door pocket side and the upper frame on the opening side on both sides in a width direction for storing a mullion 20. A joint J1 of the upper frame and a joint J2 of the head jamb rail are located within a thickness of the mullion, and are hidden behind the mullion so as not to damage appearance. The joints may be at other locations as well. (FIG. 20)SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
