EROSION PREVENTIVE STRUCTURE FOR SANDY BEACH
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an erosion preventive structure for a sandy beach that prevents erosion of the sandy beach and captures sand at the same time, without using external motive power.SOLUTION: An erosion preventive structure for a sandy beach of the present invention is the erosion preventive structure for a sandy beach that prevents erosion of a sandy beach and captures sand at the same time, and includes: a catch pit extending almost in parallel with a shore line of the sandy beach and being defined by a non-permeable partitioning wall; a collection unit installed at a bottom part of the catch pit and having an intake port near a bottom part of the collection unit; a permeable capturing body charged in the catch pit; and a drainage channel extending toward offshore from a lower part of the collection unit. Sand contained in flowing water is captured with the capturing body while the flowing water is naturally drained through the collection unit and the drainage channel, after passing through the capturing body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
