PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mineral crusher capable of easily recovering mineral from ground on a water bottom by a simple method, and a mineral crushing method.SOLUTION: A mineral crusher includes: a crushing body 3 which has a plurality of steel balls 11, and a connection member 10 for connecting the steel balls 11 in line; and a crushing body driving part 2 which is provided in a work barge 100 moving on the sea S, and which fixes one end of the crushing body 3 in such a manner as to be movable relative to the work barge 100 so that the plurality of steel balls 11 can be repeatedly brought into contact/noncontact with ground G on a sea bottom B containing mineral M.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
