PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fired body that has high properties and causes no efflorescence, and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: A fired body according to the present invention is obtained by firing a clay material, a vitreous material, and a porous material. The clay material is contained by 35% or more and 40% or less in mass ratio. The vitreous material is contained by 50% or more and 60% or less in mass ratio.
