RAIL SPACING ADJUSTMENT DEVICE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of safely and certainly adjusting a space between set numbers of transported rails in a short time.SOLUTION: A rail spacing adjusting device 1 comprises: a pedestal 5; multiple running wheels 3, which are rotatably supported by the pedestal 5 and capable of running on a top face of an upper flange 21 of set numbers of rails 2; a drive mechanism, which is mounted on the pedestal and rotates the running wheels; and a rotary wheel 7 suspended from the pedestal and rotatably supported by a bottom edge of a support shaft 71 that is thinner than a space between the upper flanges of transported rails. The rail spacing adjusting device 1 adjusts a space between set numbers of rails by arranging multiple rotary wheels in a rail longitudinal direction so that the rotary wheels can contact with an outer surface side of a web 23 of rails located at least on both sides when the set numbers of rails are arranged at wider spaces between them than the space between the set rails corresponding to rail suspending equipment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
