SHOJI SCREEN
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems with conventional shoji screens with a single lattice and having shoji screen paper bonded on inside and outside of the screen (like a Japanese drum) that shadow cast by the lattice is monotonous and the screens are not excellent in appearance.SOLUTION: A shoji screen of the present invention has a first lattice and a second lattice that do not overlap completely. A shadow and depth are created because one of the lattices is visible through shoji screen paper on both sides, offering an appearance of unprecedented beauty.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
