PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shovel that allows for the detailed management of the shovel at a work site.SOLUTION: A shovel 50 related to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: an undercarriage 1; an upper revolving superstructure 3 mounted on the undercarriage 1 via a slewing mechanism 2; and an excavation attachment attached to the upper revolving superstructure 3. The shovel also comprises: an operation state information acquisition unit 301 for acquiring operation state information on the operation state of the shovel 50; a work contents estimation unit 303 for estimating the work contents of the shovel 50 on the basis of the operation state information; and an information recording unit 302 for recording the operation state information or information generated from the operation state information, and the work contents.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
