PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand wash basin having good workability even when the hand wash basin is installed in a narrow toilet room.SOLUTION: A hand wash basin which is installed in a counter of a toilet room having an entrance frontage of 800 mm or less and buried in a wall surface 102 includes: a hand wash basin body 18 which has a back part 80 buried in the wall surface 102, an upper part 82 upward inclined from the upper end of the back part 80 and projected to outside the wall surface 102, and a lower part 84 upward inclined from the lower end of the back part 80 and projected to outside the wall surface 102; and discharge means 20 which is provided with a discharge hole for discharging water, and installed on the upper part 82.
