PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wood joining method using compression and restoration of woods which can be easily carried out.SOLUTION: There is provided a wood joining method comprising fitting one compressed wood 21 in a groove 15 provided on the other wood 11 and joining the woods 11 and 21. The corner parts 33 of the wood 21 that are the end of a compressing face are chamfered before compression, and the wood is compressed under an unheated condition without constraining directions other than a compression direction, and then is fitted in the groove 15. At that time, an adhesive is preferably applied on a fitting face. Thereby, the wood 21 fitted in the groove 15 absorbs moisture or the adhesive to be restored to the state before compression and then, both woods 11 and 21 are firmly joined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】容易に実施することができる木材の圧縮、復元を利用した木材の接合方法を提供する。【解決手段】一方の木材１１に設けられた溝１５に、圧縮した他方の木材２１を嵌め込み、木材１１と木材２１とを接合する木材の接合方法であって、木材２１は、圧縮前に圧縮面の端部である角部３３を面取りし、非加熱下で、圧縮方向以外の方向を拘束することなく圧縮した後に溝１５に嵌め込む。このとき嵌合面に接着剤を塗布することが好ましい。溝１５に嵌め込まれた木材２１は、水分、又は接着剤を吸収し、圧縮前の状態に復元し、２つの木材１１、２１は、堅固に接合される。【選択図】図１
