PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of vibration of a back door as well as muffled sound associated therewith, which are caused by fitting directions of a door latch on the back door side and a striker on a vehicle body side.SOLUTION: A back door structure is configured as follows: a back door 1 is installed at a rear part opening of a vehicle body 18; a back door panel 4 of the back door is supported on an upper part of the rear part opening with a door hinge 10 in an openable/closable manner; the back door panel has an upper half side portion 1a inclined backward and downward in a closed state, a vertical or substantially vertical lower half side portion 1b, and a bent part 1c on an intermediate side; a door latch 6 is fitted to a lower end part of the back door panel in the closed state; the door hinge and the door latch are disposed separately in a vehicle body longitudinal direction; a lock part 14 of the door latch is disposed forward along the vehicle body longitudinal direction; a contact part 17a of a striker 17 on the vehicle body side is disposed along a direction orthogonal to the vehicle body longitudinal direction; and the lock part 14 comes into contact with the contact part in the vehicle body longitudinal direction while engaging with the contact part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】例えば、バックドア側のドアラッチと車体側のストライカとの取付方向に起因するバックドアの振動とそれに伴うこもり音の発生を抑制する。【解決手段】車体18の後部開口にバックドア1が設置され、後部開口の上部にバックドアのバックドアパネル4がドアヒンジ10で開閉可能に支持され、バックドアパネルが閉じ状態で後下がりに傾斜した上半側部分1aと垂直ないし略垂直な下半側部分1bと中間側の屈曲部1cとを有し、バックドアパネルの閉じ状態における下端部にドアラッチ6が取り付けられ、ドアヒンジとドアラッチが車体前後方向に離間して配置されたバックドア構造で、ドアラッチのロック部14が車体前後方向に沿って前向きに配置され、車体側のストライカ17の当接部17aが車体前後方向とは直交する方向に沿って配置され、ロック部14が当接部に係合した状態で車体前後方向に当接部に当接する構造とした。【選択図】図3
