PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pile holding apparatus capable of supporting an existing pile in a way that suits a form of an annular projection formed on an outer peripheral surface of the existing pile and a pile diameter of a pile body.SOLUTION: A pile holding apparatus 100 holds an existing pile 10 roughly in a vertical direction at an opening 50a of a pile hole 50, when installing the existing pile having an annular projection 18 on an outer peripheral surface of a pile body 12 in the pile hole. The pile holding apparatus includes a holding cylinder 102 of a generally cylindrical form having an annular recess to be fitted on the annular projection and surrounding the annular projection of the pile body for holding the existing pile, and an inner diameter adjusting member 110 fitted on an edge part of the holding cylinder on an inner peripheral side, for adjusting an inner diameter of an inner peripheral surface of the holding cylinder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
