EARTHQUAKE-RESISTANT CEILING STRUCTURE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake-resistant ceiling structure capable of obtaining an earthquake-resistant effect against a vertical earthquake motion.SOLUTION: An earthquake-resistant ceiling structure comprises: hanging bolts 3, which are suspended from an upper structure 2; ceiling substrates 4, which are installed to lower ends of the hanging bolts 3; a ceiling board material 5, which is fixed to the ceiling substrates 4; and vertical damping devices 10, which are disposed between the upper structure 2 and the ceiling substrates 4. The vertical damping devices 10 has a short pillar 11 suspended from the upper structure 2. A lower end of the short pillar 11 is connected to the ceiling substrate 4 through a first damping material 12 for attenuating a vertical motion of the ceiling substrate 4 and the ceiling board material 5.
