PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit for a road face drawing, which allows a pedestrian who is in a crossroad which is a dead angle position of a driver of a vehicle, to properly and quickly recognize a direction where the vehicle approaches, and approach of the vehicle.SOLUTION: The lighting unit for a road face drawing comprises: at least one semiconductor light emission element which serves as a light source; plural gratings each of which has a different shape from each other, and transmitting light emitted from the semiconductor light emission element to a front side of the vehicle; and switch means for switching the grating for transmitting the light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
