PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesia refractory in which heat energy loss from molten steel is suppressed by reducing its thermal conductivity, and having excellent corrosion resistance and spalling resistance, and having sufficient durability.SOLUTION: Provided is a magnesia refractory using a refractory raw material mixture containing magnesia raw material, carbon black of 0.2 to 0.9 mass% and powdery metal Al of 0.1 to below 0.5 mass% and added with the other thermosetting resin and an oxidation preventive of a carbon component.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】低熱伝導率とすることで溶鋼からの熱エネルギー損失を抑制し、耐食性・耐スポール性に優れ十分な耐用性を有するマグネシア質耐火物を提供すること。【解決手段】マグネシア系原料と、カーボンブラック０．２質量％以上０．９質量％以下と、粉末状の金属Ａｌ ０．１質量％以上０．５質量％未満と、を含有し、その他熱硬化性樹脂、炭素成分の酸化防止剤を添加してなる耐火原料混合物を使用したことを特徴とするマグネシア質耐火物。【選択図】図２
