PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for preventing the breakage of a columnar member, which prevents a ground contact part of the columnar member, erected on a ground surface, from being erroneously broken by a mowing machine and the like.SOLUTION: A tool for preventing the breakage of a columnar member according to the present invention includes: a protective part for covering at least a ground contact part of the columnar member erected on a ground surface; a buried part which is provided in such a manner as to continue into the protective part, and which has a pressure receiving surface buried in the ground to receive earth pressure; and holding means for holding the columnar member along the protective part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
