PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backside material for a siding board, which has higher fire retardancy.SOLUTION: A backside material for a siding board includes a sheet layer 7a that is formed by processing glass fibers by an organic binder, and a protective layer 7b that is formed on one surface of the sheet layer 7a and made of a thermoplastic resin. The total of an organic mass of the organic binder included in the sheet layer 7a and an organic mass included in the thermoplastic resin is 30 g/mor less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
