PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retainer capable of further flexibly retaining an object.SOLUTION: A first retaining mechanism 2 of a retainer 1 comprises a first body part 2b which has two orthogonal planes 2e and 2f having through holes formed respectively, a first retaining part 2a capable of retaining an object, and first fastening members 2c and 2d inserted into the through hole of the support plane 2e to fasten the first retaining part 2a in an arbitrary rotational attitude to the first body part 2b. A second retaining mechanism 3 has a structure symmetrical with the first retaining mechanism 2, and includes a second body part 3b, a second retaining part 3a and second fastening members 3c and 3d. The first and second retaining mechanisms 2 and 3 are provided with through holes formed in the fitting planes 2f and 3f respectively and third fastening members 4 and 5 which are inserted into a through hole of a suspension piece of a structure in common, and fasten the first and second retaining mechanisms 2 and 3 mutually in an arbitrary rotational attitude with the suspension piece interposed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
