PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing the resonant frequency of a hexagonal ferrite material.SOLUTION: The method comprises: providing a Y phase hexagonal ferrite material having the composition SrCoFeO; and doping the hexagonal ferrite with Na, K or other univalent alkali metal at an Sr site and charge compensating with scandium or indium at a cobalt site.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
