PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a flood gate measurement device capable of measuring a state of a flood gate without attaching a limit switch or position sensor on the flood gate's body or opening/closing mechanical device.SOLUTION: A flood gate measurement device comprises: a transmission unit for transmitting a distance measurement wave to an object; a reception unit for receiving a reflection wave of the distance measurement wave transmitted from the transmission unit; a distance measurement unit for measuring a distance to the object from a delay time between the distance measurement wave transmitted from the transmission unit and the reflection wave received by the reception unit; a constant holding unit for holding a relational expression or table indicating relation between a distance to the object and the degree of openness of the flood gate; a position calculation processing unit for calculating the degree of openness of the flood gate by using the distance measured by the distance measurement unit and the relational expression or table held by the constant holding unit; and a digital position signal conversion unit for converting the flood gate's degree of openness calculated by the position calculation processing unit to one of digital position signals including fully-open and fully-closed position signals.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
