PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a pile different in a width by a common pile press-in device in less labor as less as possible.SOLUTION: In a pile press-in method for pressing a pile U2 in a position adjacent to an existing pile U2' by lowering a chuck 15 of holding the pile U2, by taking reaction by gripping the upper end of the existing pile U2' embedded in the ground by a clamp 11, the chuck 15 is provided with an opening part 20 for inserting the pile U2 in the vertical direction and a pair of chuck claws 21 and 22 for holding the pile U2 inserted into the opening part 20, and a position of the pile U2 on the inside of the opening part 20 is changed in the longitudinal direction by a width of the pile U2 held by the chuck 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
