PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-repellent porous body which has waterproofness, can be reduced in weight, and allows sufficient circulation of a fluid therein.SOLUTION: A water-repellent porous body 1 includes a porous body 2 and a coating layer 3 made of a water-repellent agent and formed on a surface 21 of the porous body 2. A part of the coating layer 3 is permeated and formed in the pores 22 communicating with the surface 21 of the porous body 2. The inside of the porous body 2 includes a non-permeable region 23 into which the coating layer 3 made of the water-repellent agent does not permeate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
