PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminous sign high in attractiveness in the night and capable of highly visible display.SOLUTION: A luminous sign comprises: a base board 2 having a luminous material; and a display part 3 formed on the surface side. The display part includes: a light transmission color part 31 having a light transitivity formed in the shape of the character and the graph to be displayed. The surface of the base board can be visually recognized on the outside of an edge of a display part, and an edge part 32 of non-light transitivity formed in edging shape is provided on the end portion of the light transmission color part to thereby suppress the light accumulation of the luminous material. The phosphorescence emitted by the luminous material of the base board can be recognized by both of the light transmission color part forming the display and the portion outside the edge. As a result, the attentiveness of the entire luminous sign can be improved. Further, the luminous accumulation of the luminous material of the rear side of the edge part of the non-light transmissivity is suppressed so that a boundary between the light transmission color part indicating the display by emitting the phosphorescence and the outside part of the edge of the display part for emitting the phosphorescence is recognized darker in edging shape at the same time, and the shape indicating the display part can be easily recognized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】夜間の誘目性が高く、表示が見やすい蓄光サインを提供する。【解決手段】蓄光材を有する基板2と、その表面側に形成された表示部3とを備え、表示部は表す文字や図形の形状に形成させた透光性を有する透光色部31を備えると共に、表示部の縁の外側に基板の表面が視認され、透光色部の端部分に縁取り状に形成させた不透光性の縁部32を設けて、その縁部の裏側の蓄光材の蓄光を抑制させる。基板の蓄光材の発する燐光は、表示を形作る透光色部と、その縁より外側の部分の両方から放射されて視認されるようになされるので、蓄光サイン全体の誘目性が向上する。また、不透光性の縁部の裏側の蓄光材の蓄光が抑制されるので、周囲が暗い夜間などにおいて、燐光を放射して表示を表す透光色部と、同じく燐光を放射する表示部の縁の外側部分との境界が縁取り状により暗く視認されるようになされ、表示部の表す形状がより認識されやすい。【選択図】図2
