PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method of a joint structure and the joint structure, capable of easily removing a member used for constructing the joint structure.SOLUTION: A construction method of a joint structure 1A comprises a first placing process of placing first concrete 3a and a joint member installation process of providing a joint member 4 for contacting in a surface with a part of a header surface 13a of the first concrete 3a and a second placing process of placing second concrete 3b so that a part of a header surface 13b contacts in a surface with the joint member 4. The joint member 4 includes a first plate member 6a for contacting in a surface with the header surface 13a of the first concrete 3a, a second plate member 6b separately opposed to the first plate member 6a and contacting in a surface with the header surface 13b of the second concrete 3b and a space holding material 7 interposed in a clearance between the first plate member 6a and the second plate member 6b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
