PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To curb a reduction in insulation performance.SOLUTION: An external wall insulation structure comprises: an external wall frame 22 which is fixed to a ceiling beam 18 and a floor beam 20, and supports an external wall surface material 14; an inner wall frame 24 which is fixed to the external wall frame 22 with a distance therefrom toward an indoor side, and supports an inner wall surface material 28; a plate-like intra-wall insulation material 26 which is installed between the external wall frame 22 and the inner wall frame 24 with an outdoor side surface positioned closer to the indoor side than an outdoor side surface 51 of webs 48 on the ceiling beam 18 and the floor beam 20; a plate-like insulation material 66 which contacts the outdoor side surface of the webs on the ceiling beam 18 and the floor beam 20 with a building inner edge section 86 arranged in a manner that overlaps with an upper edge section 82 and a lower edge section 83 of the intra-wall insulation material 26 in a horizontal direction; and a seal material 84 which has elasticity, and is sandwiched between the upper edge section 82 and the lower edge section 83 of the intra-wall insulation material 26 and the building inner edge section 86 of the insulation material 66 opposite to the upper edge section 82 and the lower edge section 83 of the intra-wall insulation material 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
