METHOD FOR PRODUCING CERAMIC STOCK SPHERE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a boron carbide sintered body excellent in electric discharge processability without impairing the hardness of boron carbide.SOLUTION: The inventive ceramic stock sphere 1 production process comprises: a mixing step of mixing a material to be sintered 2 and a binder 3 to prepare a mixture 6; an injection step of injecting the mixture 6 mixed in the mixing step into a mold 8 having a sphere shaped molding part 7 to produce a sphere shaped molded body 5; and a sintering step of sintering the molded body 5 obtained in the injection step to produce a ceramic stock sphere 1. Note that boron carbide is preferably used for the material to be sintered 2, and it is preferable to sinter the boron carbide molded body 5 in an atmosphere in which conductive material is vaporized.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】 炭化ホウ素の硬度を損なうことなく放電加工性に優れた炭化ホウ素の焼結体を得る。【解決手段】本発明のセラミック素球1の製造方法は、被焼結材料2とバインダ3とを混合して混合物6を得る混合工程と、混合工程で混合された混合物6を、球状の成形部7を備えた金型8内に射出して、球状の成形体5を得る射出工程と、射出工程で得られた成形体5を焼結することでセラミック素球1を得る焼結工程と、を備えている。なお、被焼結材料2には炭化ホウ素が用いられているのが好ましく、導電性物質が気化した雰囲気中で炭化ホウ素の成形体5を焼結するのが好ましい。【選択図】図1
