PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a firing method capable of firing an object to be fired while suppressing the adhesion of organic substances derived from oxidation of a firing raw material constituting the object to be fired and a binder and the like by a simple configuration, and to provide a firing furnace capable of performing the firing method.SOLUTION: In a firing method, a first process is performed which, when firing an object to be fired 90 comprising a firing raw material fired by heating and organic substances generating combustible gas by heating, stores the object to be fired 90 in a furnace body 10 having airtightness inhibiting the invasion of gas from the outside, performs combustion in the furnace body 10 while introducing an inert gas, fuel gas, and air, and lowers the oxygen concentration in the furnace body 10 to a predetermined reference concentration or less, switching to a second process is performed before the temperature in the furnace body 10 reaches a temperature at which the oxidation of the firing raw material occurs in the first process, and, in the second process, operation is performed which reduces the introduction amount of the inert gas and an air ratio in comparison with the first process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】簡素な構成で、被焼成物を構成する焼成原料の酸化およびバインダ等に由来する有機物の炉内への付着を抑えながら、被焼成物の焼成を行うことができる焼成方法、およびそのような焼成方法を実施することができる焼成炉の提供。【解決手段】加熱によって焼成される焼成原料と、加熱によって可燃性ガスを発生させる有機物と、を含んでなる被焼成物を焼成する際、外部からの気体の侵入を阻止する気密性を有した炉体10の中に被焼成物90を収容し、不活性ガスと燃料ガスと空気とを導入しながら、炉体10の中で燃焼を行い、炉体10の中の酸素濃度を所定の基準濃度以下に下げる第一工程を実行し、第一工程において炉体10の中の温度が焼成原料の酸化が起こる温度に達する前に、第二工程への切り替えを行い、第二工程において、第一工程におけるよりも、不活性ガスの導入量を下げるとともに、空気比を下げる操作を行う焼成方法。【選択図】図1
