PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical circulation type parking system that enables a vehicle to be washed within a building even when its lot area is the same lot area as a normal lot area, and a remodeling method for an existing vertical circulation type parking system.SOLUTION: A vertical circulation type parking system includes: an endless chief chain 6 that is vertically circulated in the state of being looped over a plurality of sprockets 4 rotating on a horizontal axis 4a within a building 2; a plurality of cages 10 that are suspended by the chief chain 6 in the state of housing a vehicle A; a loading/unloading part 12 that is provided in a first floor part of the building 2 to load/unload the vehicle A into/from the cage 10; and car wash equipment 14 that is used to wash the vehicle A in the loading/unloading part 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
