PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a kiln furniture excellent in a point that detachment of a coating layer of zirconia hardly occurs, capable of repeatedly bearing thermal cycles with severe conditions of temperature rising and cooling and having long life.SOLUTION: A kiln furniture has ceramic containing SiC as a substrate, a coating layer of mullite forming a boundary surface with the substrate and a coating layer of zirconia in a surface side of the coating layer of mullite and having average porous diameter of the coating layer of the mullite of 1 μm to 50 μm. A value of average pore diameter/cumulative pore diameter (D) of the coating layer of the mullite is preferably in a range of 0.5 to 0.9. Cumulative pore diameter (D) in a pore diameter distribution of the coating layer of the mullite is preferably observed in a range of 2 μm to 70 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】ジルコニア質の被覆層の剥離の起きにくさの点で優れ、昇温及び冷却の条件の厳しい熱的サイクルにも繰り返し耐えることができ、長寿命の窯道具を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の窯道具は、SiC質を含むセラミックスを基材とし、該基材と界面を形成するムライト質の被覆層を有し、該ムライト質の被覆層の表面側に、ジルコニア質の被覆層を有する窯道具であって、前記ムライト質の被覆層の平均気孔径が1μm以上50μm以下である。前記ムライト質の被膜層の平均気孔径/累積気孔径(D50)値が0.5以上0.9以下の範囲であることが好ましい。前記ムライト質の被覆層の気孔径分布における累積気孔径(D50)が、2μm以上70μm以下の範囲に観察されることも好ましい。【選択図】図2
