PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wale capable of increasing bending strength and shear strength by increasing the beam depth.SOLUTION: A wale is constituted of a first-stage earth-retaining main material 3 installed on the inside of an earth-retaining wall 2, a second-stage earth-retaining main material 4 laminated on the inside of the first-stage earth-retaining main material 3, a plurality of adjustment materials 5 interposed between the first-stage and second-stage earth-retaining main materials 3 and 4 and a plurality of fastening bolts 8 for respectively joining the first-stage and second-stage earth-retaining main materials 3 and 4 and the adjustment materials 5. The first-stage and second-stage earth-retaining main materials 3 and 4 are laminated so that both webs 3b and 4b are positioned in the same horizontal plane. Mutually opposed flanges 3a and 4a of the first-stage and second-stage earth-retaining main materials 3 and 4 and the adjustment materials 5, are fastened by the plurality of fastening bolts 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
