PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lifting device capable of easily lifting a side ditch cover, which is a heavy load, from a side ditch.SOLUTION: A lifting device includes: a rod-like horizontal part 12, the length of which can be adjusted; a pair of lifting and lowering parts 14 and 14 which are provided at both ends of the horizontal part 12 to vertically lift and lower the horizontal part 12, respectively; a pair of legs 16 and 16 which are provided for the pair of lifting and lowering parts 14 to support the lifting and lowering parts 14 in an erected state, respectively; and a pair of hook members 18 and 18 which are suspended in the horizontal part 12 in such a manner as to be slidable in the axial direction of the horizontal part 12, the lower ends of which have L-shaped hook parts 18B, respectively, and which enable adjustment of suspension length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
