PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect-catching device excellent in maintainability, capable of maintaining stable capturing performance; and to provide an insect-catching method.SOLUTION: An insect-catching device 100 includes a liquid system 30 having a capturing region 50 to which liquid is provided, a guide pipe 20 through which an insect is guided toward the capturing region, and a gas system 40 having a fluid machine 241 and for propelling gas in the guide pipe toward the capturing region so that the insect is brought into contact with the liquid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
