PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological information collecting device capable of accurately measuring volume of excreta.SOLUTION: A biological information collecting device 1 is a device for measuring volume of excreta excreted in a toilet bowl 10 formed of a resin material in a bowl-like shape, and includes a water level sensor 20 which is disposed outside of a side face 11 of the toilet bowl 10 to measure changes in the level of a liquid L in the toilet bowl 10 before and after the excreta is excreted in the toilet bowl 10. The water level sensor 20 includes: a light emitting device 25 that emits a beam of light which can pass through the side face 11 of the toilet bowl 10; and a light receiving device 26 that receives the light which has passed through the side face 11 and then reflected by the liquid L in the toilet bowl 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
