PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress stress concentration to irregularities formed on a surface of a slide layer due to frictional force, and suppress occurrence of fine cracking in a ceramic structure for a faucet device due to the frictional force.SOLUTION: A ceramic structure for a faucet device includes a ceramic substrate, and a slide layer formed on the surface of the substrate. The substrate is formed of dense ceramic with no pore on its surface. The slide layer is formed of diamond-like carbon. A frictional coefficient of the surface of the slide layer is smaller than a frictional coefficient of the surface of the substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
