PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drain piping structure that can bury piping around a building even if the surroundings of the building is narrow; and a joint used in the drain piping structure.SOLUTION: A drain piping structure 1A comprises a joint 20A comprising an inflow side connection part 21 in a straight pipe shape that opens in a horizontal direction and an outflow side connection part 22 in a straight pipe shape that is positioned under the inflow side connection part 21 and that opens downward. In the joint 20A, the end of the outflow side connection part 22 on the side of a side wall surface 2 is arranged in a position closer to side of the side wall surface 2 than the end 21a of the inflow side connection part 21 on the downstream side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
