PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrally selective panel.SOLUTION: A spectrally selective panel is made of a first material that is at least partially transmissive to light of a wavelength in the visible range and is configured to guide suitable light. The panel includes a diffractive element disposed in, on, or near the first material. The diffractive element is configured to deflect predominantly light of a wavelength in the infrared wavelength band. The first material is arranged and the diffractive element is oriented such that at least a portion of energy associated with the infrared light incident from a transversal direction of the spectrally selective panel is directed along the panel towards a side portion of the panel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
