PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic composite material of a structure in which the degradation of fibers themselves can be inhibited, and a method for producing a ceramic composite material.SOLUTION: A ceramic composite material 10 production method has an aggregate forming step for gathering SiC fibers 1 containing oxygen to form an aggregate 9, a CVD step P2 for putting the aggregate 9 into a CVD furnace and forming a ceramic coating 2 containing carbon on the surfaces of SiC fibers, and a silicon impregnation step P3 for impregnating the aggregate 9 with silicon.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
