PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved scissor drive which requires less space than scissor drives known from the prior art.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a scissor drive comprising: two legs (20, 30) pivotable relative to each other about a pivot axis, each having a longitudinal axis (L1, L2) and designed to be connected to an external component; and a motor/gear assembly (42) for driving the relative pivoting movement of the two legs (20, 30). The first leg (20) comprises: a housing (24, 26) which is hollow at least in portions, a cavity (28a-c) being defined in the hollow housing, which cavity extends at least in portions along the longitudinal axis (L1) of the first leg (20); and the motor/gear assembly (42) received in the housing (24, 26) of the first leg (20) at least in portions of a part (28a) of the cavity (28a-c) which extends along the longitudinal axis (L1) of the first leg (20).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
