PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved component for electromagnetic interference suppression consisting of ferrite powder with a hexagonal crystal structure, and a method for producing such a component.SOLUTION: A component for electromagnetic interference suppression in which the ferrite powder has the composition SrFeCO, wherein C is a transition metal from the fourth, fifth, ninth or tenth group of the periodic table of elements; 0.9≤x≤0, preferably x=1; 0.1≤y≤0.8, preferably 0.2≤y≤0.5, particularly preferably 0.3≤y≤0.4; and z=19, and the grain size of the ferrite powder is between 50-100 μm is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
