MANUFACTURING METHOD OF MOLDED ARTICLE FROM CARBON MATERIAL USING RECYCLED CARBON FIBER
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of manufacturing a graphite electrode and a graphite connection member from carbon containing less than 20 mass% of carbon fiber having excellent property, which is conducted simply at low cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a molded article from carbon containing a carbon fiber at the amount of less than 20 mass%, including process, a) a process for fragmenting a waste part or a scrap part from a carbon fiber reinforced composite material, b) a process for manufacturing a mixture from a fragmented product obtained in the process a), a binder, for example a pitch, a carbon material, for example coke and optionally one or a plurality of additive, c) a process for molding a mixture obtained in the process b) to a molded article, d) a process for carbonizing the molded article obtained in the process c), e) a process for impregnating the molded article carbonized in the process in an impregnant, and f) a process optionally for graphitizing the molded article carbonized in the process d) or the molded article impregnated in the process e).SELECTED DRAWING: None
