DIFFERENT DIAMETER STEEL PIPE PILE
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel pipe pile which achieves both the improvement of horizontal yield strength with respect to a horizontal load in an earthquake and the increase in horizontal strength of the peripheral ground.SOLUTION: A different diameter steel pipe pile includes a large diameter portion 11 in an upper end side, a small diameter portion 13 in a lower end side, and a tapered portion 12 of which diameter is reduced toward the small diameter portion 13 from the large diameter portion 11. A thickness t2 of the tapered portion 12 is constant, and a diameter reduction rate calculated by the following equation (1) is 1.5/100-10/100. Diameter reduction rate=(D-d)/2L...(1), wherein D represents an outside diameter (mm) of the large diameter portion, d represents an outside diameter (mm) of the small diameter portion, and L represents a length (mm) of the tapered portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
