PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for a gate door capable of locking and unlocking from either of the front side or the back side of the gate door.SOLUTION: A locking device comprises a bolt 3 with an opening 3a for inserting a lock formed in an end part, a bolt guide 9 attached to one gate door 1, a bolt receiver 10 attached to another gate door 2, and a lever 4 attached to the bolt 3. The lever 4 is composed of a front-side end part 5 projecting to the front side of the bolt 3 and a rear-side end part 6 projecting to the rear side of the bolt 3. The rear-side end part 6 projects from the one gate door 1 through a laterally long hole 1a formed in the one gate door 1, and the rear-side end part 6 can be locked on a lock installing member 7 attached to the one gate door 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
