PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory for converter bottom blowing tuyere high in durability.SOLUTION: There is provided a refractory for converter bottom blowing tuyere consisting of a component composition of MgO:5 to 60 mass%, AlO-MgO spinel:30 to 70 mass% and C:10 to 30 mass%, all amount of the AlO-MgO spinel has a particle diameter of 1 mm or more and contains no single AlO.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
