COMPOSITE SINTERED BODY FOR CUTTING TOOL AND CUTTING TOOL USING THE SAME
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite sintered body for cutting tool excellent in heat conductivity and electric conductivity, strong to abrasion and impact by heat and capable of minimizing effects of a tooth point part during EDM processing and a cutting tool using the same.SOLUTION: There is provide a composite body containing cubic boron nitride having particle size of 0.01 to 1.5 μm and a binder, the cubic boron nitride percentage of volume of 65 to 85 vol.% and the binder exists carbonate, carbonaceous, boride or oxide containing at least 2 or more kinds of Group 3, Group 4, Group 5 and Al or a solid solution and contains a composite mixture of W and Co of 0.1 to 8.0 wt.%.EFFECT: A composition sintered body for cutting tool having excellent thermal stability capable of minimizing damage due to abrasion and impact due to heat and a cutting tool using the same can be manufactured by manufacturing a single composite having no direct bond between cubic boron nitride particles and no heterogeneous joint layer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】熱伝導度及び電気伝導度に優れ、熱による摩耗及び衝撃に強くて、EDM作業時に刃先部の影響を最小化できる切削工具用複合焼結体及びこれを用いた切削工具の提供。【解決手段】粒子サイズが0.01〜1.5μmである立方晶窒化ホウ素と結合剤を含む複合焼結体からなり、立方晶窒化ホウ素の体積の割合は、65〜85vol%で、結合剤は、3族、4族、5族及びAlのうちで少なくとも2種以上を含んだ炭化、炭質化、ホウ化、或いは酸化物、又は固溶体で存在して、前記結合剤内のW及びCoの複合混合物は0.1〜8.0wt%含まれている複合焼結体。【効果】複合焼結体は立方晶窒化ホウ素粒子間の直接結合がなく、異種接合層がない単一複合体を製造することで熱による摩耗及び衝撃による破損を最小化できる優秀な熱的安定性を有する切削工具用複合焼結体及びこれを利用した切削工具を製造できる。【選択図】なし
