PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backpack blower capable of enhancing the cooling performance for an engine inside a cover while promoting silent operation.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a backpack blower 100 comprising: a blower unit 1 having a casing 11, an impeller 12, an engine 13, and an outer cover 15; and a backpack frame 2. The casing 11 is located between a back panel 21 and the engine 13, a suction port S1 is open at an engine-side side part, and a cylinder part 13a is disposed above a crank case part 13b. The backpack blower further includes: an air intake S2 in a lower part of the outer cover 15; a first air guide part 16a which extends vertically in the outer cover 15 and guides air from the air intake S2 to an upper region in the outer cover 15; and a second air guide part 16b which is provided so as to cover a top of the engine 13 and passes the air guided by the first air guide part 16a through the circumference of the cylinder part 13a, and guides the air to the suction port S1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
