PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an architectural member capable of readily adjusting a width of an opening below a handrail and protecting a floor surface of a balcony and others and a top part of a handrail wall.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a cap piece below a handrail, the cap piece including a rectangular top surface part, a side surface part disposed along a longer side of the top surface part and roughly perpendicularly to a surface direction of the top surface part, and a hollow protrusion measuring at least 30 mm in height and disposed along the other longer side of the top surface part in a direction opposite the side surface part. By using the cap piece of the present invention, a width of an opening below the handrail may be adjusted readily, without raising a floor surface of a balcony or a handrail wall, or totally replacing the handrail.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】本発明は、手摺下の開口部の幅を簡便に調節することができ、併せてベランダ等の床面又は手摺壁の頂部を保護する建築用部材を提供することを目的とするものである。【解決手段】本発明は、長方形状の天面部と、天面部の一方の長辺に接して天面部の面方向に対して略直角に配置される側面部と、前記天面部の他方の長辺に沿って前記側面部と逆向きに配置される高さが少なくとも３０ｍｍ以上の中空凸部とを有する、手摺下笠木に関する。本発明の笠木を使用することによって、ベランダ等の床面又は手摺壁をかさ上げしたり、手摺を全面的に交換したりせずに、簡便に手摺下部の開口部の幅を調節することが可能になる。【選択図】図１
