FINGER PINCHING PREVENTION IMPLEMENT FOR SLIDING DOOR
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a finger pinching prevention implement for a sliding door for which an installation position may be determined freely and capable of securing an even wider opening area when the sliding door is opened.SOLUTION: A finger pinching prevention implement for a sliding door is used with a sliding door device 1 having at least two door panels 3, 4 installed next to each other that independently move in opening/closing directions, the finger pinching prevention implement preventing a user from getting a finger caught by the door panels when the door panels 3, 4 are moved. The finger pinching prevention implement includes a base 20 fitted to be embedded in a fitting hole 5 formed on the one door panel 3, and a stopper 30 fitted to be movable with regard to the base 20 and having a contacting part 33 for coming into contact with the other door panel 4. The stopper 30 is housed inside the fitting hole 5 when not operated. When operated, the stopper moves relative to the base 20 and the contacting part 33 protrudes from the fitting hole 5 toward the other door panel 4, and the contacting part 33 moves to outside in the opening/closing direction further than an edge part 5a of the fitting hole 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
